Taking up or returning to running can feel incredibly daunting especially if you feel you aren’t fit. The Reigate Ladies Joggers Beginners Course has helped hundreds of local ladies get on track with their running routine and stick to it!

Beginners Course *Weekly Outline

Our best-selling course is designed to introduce newcomers (and returners) to running in a fun, friendly and structured manner. The course provides a once-weekly coaching session with homework in between which will build your running fitness, develop & improve your running technique, and help you to avoid injuries. You’ll graduate with a celebration of your success with a shiny medal and free RLJ running top. Depending on the term, *this course can also run over 5 weeks.

Week 1

Welcome to the group/technique, short jog/walk intervals

Week 2

Nutrition & hydration, increasing the intervals for jogging/walking

Week 3

Stamina, how to tackle hills

Week 4

Distraction & motivation, short run increasing running decreasing walking

Week 5

Breathing & the benefit of interval training

Week 6

Finale 5k (with breathers and walk breaks) - Putting it all together and what next? How to stay motivated.
